We had the opportunity to speak to, Sace Moretti, who is no stranger. The artist and fashion designer has carved out his lane in streetwear through bold concept and extreme detail. For this latest project, we got the chance to talk to him about his newest collaboration with RugSoda the Tree Hugger backpack. It’s got character, it’s got context, and it drops right on Earth Day.
1. I’ve never seen a backpack with that design, what went into the design process? Did you or RugSoda take the lead or was it a collaborative effort on design?
"Honestly working with RugSoda was a breath of fresh air for me," Sace told us. "Usually I find myself contributing a lot to collaborations but with him having this concept already in mind, it made the process much faster and honestly reflected our respective niches. I was already working on bringing patterns and textures to backpacks moving forward also so I think this collab is a great way to introduce that."

2. This drop hits on Earth Day. How important was that date for the meaning behind the release?
Sace admitted, "I feel when we put Earth Day for the release date, it felt more of a perfect coincidence and it all just aligned very well. We had plans to release before or after but the perfect date was right there so why not, right?"

3. Sace and RugSoda coming together feels natural. How did the collab come about?
"Me and RugSoda have been friends for a long time now and have a strong appreciation for each other's work," Sace shared. "I have some customs by him and he has almost all the original backpacks from my past releases and has always been an avid supporter of the Arms Reach concept. It may feel natural because essentially in my eyes both Gift Shops and I think we just understand what makes a novelty fun and timeless. We were bound to work on something for the public eventually, just had to make sense."
4. This bag is a character. It’s got arms, it’s got aura. What kind of person do you picture rocking this on the daily?
"If you have a deep appreciation for the outdoors I think this bag is for you," he said. "It could coexist with your other camping or hiking gear. I think it’s a cool backpack for people who just enjoy fun and the subtle details that make the backpack unique are just like the cherry on top lol."

Whether you're into the great outdoors, , or just wanna rock this fire backpack that literally has arms, the Tree Hugger backpack is a must have. The stars kind of align with the Sace Moretti and Rugsoda collab dropping on Earth Day. Get one if you’re trying to carry something that carries you back.
