Story Behind Cielos.LA’s iClips Nostalgia Meets Design

A Hair Clip with a Throwback

Cielos LA’s iClips are easily one of the most eye-catching accessory drops we’ve seen lately. Inspired by pure nostalgia, the design is a creative nod to the early 2000s — specifically the iPod Nano. “I still have an iPod Nano that I use to this day,” they told us. That throwback energy is exactly what makes the iClips so fun and fresh. They look like something you would’ve clipped to your hoodie. Except now they’re reimagined as a hair accessory with serious streetwear appeal.

Gen 1 Now, Gen 2 Next

The current drop is limited, but it’s only the beginning. “These first colors will probably be limited,” they explained. “I do want to eventually do different colors like a silver one or a black one and try different materials too.” There’s already talk of a Gen 2 iClip, with tweaks that’ll bring it even closer to the original iPod Shuffle look. Basically, if you're into collecting, now’s the time to grab one because future versions might hit different.

More Than Just Clips

And the iClip isn’t stopping at hair accessories. Cielos.LA gave us a hint that there’s more in the works. “Can’t say much about it, but we got some samples we want to perfect first,” they said. Think mirrors, watches, bags — all staying true to the iClip’s vibe, but switching up the format. It’s clear they’re not just riding a trend, they’re building a full-on nostalgic design language around it.

Wrapping It Up Plus, the Full Friday Collection Drop

If there’s one thing clear from this drop, it’s that Cielos.LA isn’t just putting out accessories they’re building stories. The iClips are more than a fun design; they’re a wearable throwback, a personal piece of nostalgia turned into something fresh and collectible. With Gen 2 already on the horizon and new accessories quietly in the works, it’s a good time to keep this brand on your radar. And if you’re looking to build out the fit, you’re in luck — Cielos.LA is also dropping a full lineup this Friday, April 18. Expect restocks of their tees, thermals, and baggy jeans, plus the return of the 1979 woven hoodie and a fresh batch of sweatpants. Whether you’re coping iClips or going all in on the full collection, this week’s release is one you won’t want to sleep on.
