1. A Sneaker That Tells the Story of the Brand
The colorway on the Trainer 1's Emotional Therapy x Araña Studios sneaker wasn’t picked at random. Malo, the founder of Emotional Therapy, submitted a full range of 12 mockups. Ruben of Araña Studios chose the first option — one that unknowingly matched previous Emotional Therapy pieces like hoodies, tees, and beanies. It’s a subtle but powerful nod to the brand’s evolving color story, tying past and present drops together.
2. Emotional Therapy Took the Packaging Into Their Own Hands
After the colorway was locked in, Ruben handed full creative control of the packaging over to Malo. That meant everything — the box, wrapping paper, inserts — was designed to reflect the Emotional Therapy streetwear brand aesthetic. The end result? A packaging experience that looks and feels like a limited edition collector’s release.

3. Only 70 Pairs for the Streetwear Community
The Emotional Therapy Trainer 1's is capped at just 70 online pairs, making this a truly exclusive sneaker release. According to Malo, there may be future projects with Araña Studios, but this colorway likely won’t return. If you're a collector or a fan of limited streetwear drops, this is one you won’t want to miss.

4. A Friendship That Built a Collab
Malo and Ruben go way back — all the way to 2018 when they started trading custom Nike Air Force 1s. Over time, they’ve stayed connected, teaming up on custom footwear for the Latin Grammys and more. The Trainer 1's is their first official streetwear collaboration, built from mutual respect and years of creativity.
5. Philly’s the First to Touch It
The Emotional Therapy x Araña Studios sneaker launch kicks off in Philly, Malo’s hometown. The pop-up shop is set for April 19th at 2550 Kensington Ave from 1PM–6PM. The first 20 people to buy a pair get a free T-shirt exclusive to the event. With limited quantities, a local crowd, and a one-day setup — this is a pure streetwear moment.
