ATOL (Always Thinking Out Loud) is back with a new drop that’s bold, loud, and full of feeling. From jorts with a purpose to politically charged messaging, their latest release isn’t just about streetwear, it’s a full-on statement. We caught up with the minds behind the brand to get deeper into the vision, vibe, and values behind the "Burnt STARZ" collection.
Q: Yo, let’s talk about the jorts—what made y’all go with the ‘burnt starz’ vibe for this one?
“We honestly wanted to create something that we haven’t seen before with Jorts. The color is what stuck out the most for us and the fact that it was an idea almost 3 years old played a factor into it being something that we still felt as relevant for today’s market.”
These jorts weren’t pulled from a trend book, they were brought back from the vault because they still hit. ATOL trusted their vision, and now we see why.
Q: You mentioned this piece was 2.5 years in the making, what kept you locked in on this idea for that long?
“The idea was inspiring as time went on. Something like fine wine. Every time we flashed back at the sample and mock up it created yet another story for us to build on in relation to our thoughts and sharing them out loud.”
That kind of long-term commitment to a design is rare. ATOL doesn’t rush, they wait for the right time, and when it hits, it hits hard.
Q: The messaging on the pieces is wild—in the best way. What’s the story behind the ‘F*ck em both, I still voted anyway’ hoodie?”
“Yep. Very controversial piece that we pushed it out organically. The message is clear with the way politics has escaped to some sort of celebrity contest; it’s actually very difficult to know who/what party had the best interest of your people and community at heart. So long story short… fuck em both… we still did our part to vote ‘anyway’.”
This isn’t surface-level fashion—ATOL makes pieces that say something. The hoodie’s loud, unapologetic, and way too real. (which i agree with)

Q: Y’all had the pop-up with @pabruhzcookowt, how was it and what can people expect?
“That was amazing it’s always good to get a great cookout energy transfer when showcasing the story of ATOL. We got to meet people IRL that really resonated with the brand and our mission. The turnout was amazing with 700+ guests in attendance.”
700 people pulled up, that’s a movement. When ATOL shows up in person, the energy matches the message. Always Thinking Out Loud.
Q: ATOL always got that loud but real energy, what message are y’all tryna push with this drop overall?”
“This drop is about caring less about what the thought is but putting more and more energy into the actions that accompany the original ‘bright’ idea or thought. Burnt STARZ still shine is the message for this drop. No matter what you go through and how hard life challenges your brain; you have to CHOOSE to get back up and think harder, think smarter, and execute… AGAIN. It can become a burnout at times but the agenda is to shine so bright that the challenges look so microscopic it does not matter.”
That “shine anyway” energy is real. No matter how burnt out you feel, this drop is your reminder to light it up again. Be The Voice.
