EXTX THIRTEEN - Perception is Reality

There’s something different about EXTX THIRTEEN®. The upcoming Illionis-based brand is doing more than just dropping tees they’re telling stories. The latest piece, titled Motion Blur, is a statement on perception, chaos, and clarity, all wrapped into one.

At the core of the drop is a distorted face. To some, it might look like a blur. To others, a movement. But that’s the point.

“The whole idea behind the tee is that perception is reality,” says Kiye, the creative force behind EXTX THIRTEEN®. “It’s a face, but it’s blurred and kinda hard to read. It’s emotional because that’s how life really is — it hits different for everyone. You could see chaos. You could see motion. It depends on how you choose to look at it. That’s what I was trying to capture.”

The monochrome palette, punched up with silver rivets along the sleeves, creates a look that feels both tactical and artistic. It’s it adds tension and energy, which is key to how Kiye builds each piece.

“I just wanted to bring a different energy to a basic tee. The silver accents gave it more presence. It’s subtle, but it adds weight.”

What stands out even more is the campaign energy. There’s no big-budget studio, no overly curated shots. Just the city, the homies, and the vibe. It’s raw on purpose.

“Everything was meant to feel natural. No polished sets, just a real lifestyle type of shoot. I wanted it to feel real.”

Houston plays a backdrop, but the themes are global. Duality. Identity. Chaos. Calm. This isn’t a one-off concept, it’s something that’s been showing up in EXTX THIRTEEN®’s releases more and more.

“I don’t create from a checklist. It’s just where my head’s been lately. That contrast always shows up in my work. It’s becoming a theme that sticks naturally.”

More than anything, EXTX THIRTEEN® is personal. Kiye isn’t trying to follow trends — he’s just building pieces he believes in. If it connects, it connects.

“I wanted to make clothes I actually wanted to wear. I create from a real place, so if I feel it, I design it. It’s honest. If people connect with that, then it’s doing what it’s supposed to do.”

Whether it’s your first time hearing about EXTX THIRTEEN® or you’ve been watching it grow, Motion Blur is a solid entry point into a brand that’s pushing personal expression over profits. They are dropping on the 5th of July so be ready! Click Here
